TRADEMARKS

Trademarks are associated with the goods or services of one entity in order to distinguish those goods or services from the goods or services of others. If one's use of a mark or name causes confusion as to the source or origin of the goods or services, then it may be an infringement. Trademark registrations can be obtained from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. "(R)" is one of the ways to indicate that a mark is federally registered. "TM" or "SM" indicate that the mark is claimed as a trademark or service mark.
